Vorshlag goes to 2009 Nurburgring 24 Hour race

We were able to catch a flight into Frankfurt on our trip to visit with AST in the Netherlands, so we swung by the annual 24 hour race at the Nurburgring. It was what a huge event, great variety of cars, so many people, and a giant mess of a track.

They've really added a lot of buildings to this facility since I visited in 2004 (and drove some laps in an Opel Astra). Its going to be a theme park megeplex before too long. They were building a roller coaster, I kid you not...



We have some thoughts about this track, and why its such a terrible test track, which we'll post in an upcoming tech article.
