Re: SCCA @ Pennington this weekend

I have protested myself with Phil Adams (Registrar/Timing & Scoring). I explained to him that I gained an unfair advantage by allowing Jeremy Foley to drive my car prior to my last run and thus heating up the tires while my competitors did not. He said he will talk to the board and they will decide (if I understood him correctly).

      wow...

So, if you protest yourself and you win, do you get your protest fee back?

Re: SCCA @ Pennington this weekend

One moment Paul tells me to go f**k myself, then he protests himself for cheating (because he knows his 3 stunts were BS?)??? This has become laughable.

I didn't "Wait until I had time to think about it", as soon as I saw the grid jumping and car swapping going on I was calling foul to anyone that would listen. I should have just gone ahead and filed an official protest, but I thought it was too pissy for a regional event. First it was "accidentally" running illegal boost for half the event, then car swapping/tire warming on the last runs, then entire grid jumping. At what point should someone make a stink?

Poor pitiful Paul. No one says anything nice. PULEASE! You and your boost boys are all high-fiving yourselves, esp. since little Jeremy went from 9th to 2nd with his car swap and you went from 6th to 1st.

Are you thin skinned? Why do you keep asking each time you freak out or "someone questions your honor"? Of course you are thin skinned. Whatever, my point is made. Maybe you won't pull any of this crap next year. That's all we can hope.

Just chill out alrerady. You can't un-do the silliness from that event now. Self protesting? For f**k's sake.

Re: SCCA @ Pennington this weekend

You really know how to piss in someone’s Wheaties Terry. I only protested to make you happy since you and Brian wined about it. Brian who wasn’t even at the event but got all his information from you. So if he is spouting off, you must have been really upset over it.

First “stunt”… The only reason you know I had the wrong ECU map is because I told you after my second run. Only after I figured out why I smoked the clutch on the first two launches.

Second stunt… Jumping grid, ok, you got me there, didn’t even occur to me at the time there would be an advantage or disadvantage. Not sure how that helped me though. Didn’t reflect it in my times, made the same mistake I did on the first two runs.

Third stunt… Letting Jeremy drive my car prior to my last run. Yep, that was the BIG one wasn’t it Terry. Letting Jeremy heat up my tires so I could go out and drop 1.531 seconds on a 40 second course. Or was it the bump from behind you to in front of you that was the issue? From 7th place to 1st place? Ya, warmer street tires account for that. Or was it driving a better line into the slalom and using 1st gear at the pivot cone? I guess we will never know.

Well I got Phil Adam’s answer back this morning; he called everyone in the class. According to Phil the only person to “grumble” about it I had already beat on previous runs and even he wouldn’t support it. You got your chance Terry. I gave it to you on a silver platter and you turned it down. Silliness? I did it for you.

So for the record (and everyone who wasn’t there and reading this), I did not do anything with the intention of gaining an advantage over my fellow competitors. I had the most benign intentions meant to accommodate the circumstances of letting a friend drive and not slow up the heat waiting on said driver.

You guys are always cracking jokes how I need 5 or 6 runs to go fast, maybe I can do it in 4 now. Maybe it was dumb luck. I guess we will know next year.

OK, I am done with this “silliness”. Don’t bother to reply, I am finished with this thread.

I am ignoring all the silliness since I wasn't involved. I just want to say awesome job by Amy and Cary did pretty dang well for her first ever cometitive event. Kicked the crap out of a guy driving a R32 too. Her last run was an easy 45.x, but she went in way too hot to the hairpin.
