    Re: SEMA anyone?

FYI, I did a search on SEMA and apparently segments of Attack of the Show on G4TV (ch. 30 on Comcast) will be covering SEMA. Nov. 3 @ 6pm, Nov. 8, Nov. 9, Nov. 10. http://tv.yahoo.com/ to search in your area.

      Re: SEMA anyone?

I'm SO tired. I brought the camera to work, but I have a full day. Got told just now I have another presentation, one I've NEVER done and probably shouldn't be doing anyway. Welcome back!!

I'll try to write some thoughts later.

Note to self, get a rental car next time. I walked more in the last two days than I have ever walked.

Mostly WS. 130k people it is REALLY hard to take pictures and get the whole car in the picture without some jacka$$ walking in front of you. I haven't even looked at these yet. Enjoy!!

NOTE: I found some tires for the Nomad. See if you can pick them out.

Met this dude at SEMA. He's trying to get it produced overseas to make it cheaper, but DAYAM. $398??

Saw plenty of skimpy outfits too.

Let me know if you go next year. I usually went about 2 hours before it opened just to take pics of the displays. No crowds! w00t.

World Challenge GT Prototype... 3090 pounds? Stock hp? Weak!

Seriously - how do they make these carbon fiber, aluminum monoquoque 2-seater mid-engined cars weigh so much??

                    Re: SEMA anyone?

Agreed. Where does the weight come from?

A full-on tube frame GT1 car with a normal 'glass body can easily get under 2500 (no driver, no fuel). Amazing.

Maybe they use really heavy CF?

                      Re: SEMA anyone?

That wing is so big, the weight could be coming from downforce--even sitting still. OK, that was stupid.

Maybe these guys took a production GT and just slapped graphics and the spoiler on it.... Ford's site doesn't seem to give a curb weight.
