  • WTB E46 wheels for racing

Okay, I don't know how serious I am at this second or if I'm going to buy this second, but what are my options for race wheels on my E46 328i? I don't know what the offset needs to be on these. I'd imagine for cost and weight sake, 17" wheels would be good. Maybe 17x8 if I wanted to run a street tire class? Anyway, my car is DSP otherwise due to the H&R springs. I did a casual look on bimmerforums.com and didn't see much for my car.

You can get 17x8 Type 44's for real cheap and they were offered on E46 cars. Slap some 225/45 or 245/40's on there and you're done.

These are what you are referring to? The ones that came with the 328i sport package?

Bingo. Heavy, but cheap and the right size. Paint them black before you mount the tires.

Dunno if this is a good deal or not, but thought I'd pass it along:

Nope, but adjustable rear springs and new front air dam are on their way. Wheels aren't out, but not immediate.

What rear setup are you going with? And what spring rates did you get?
