So after talking with some people I am thinking STX might be a fun option for the E30, but before I start writing checks I thought I would see what yall think. Can this car be competive?

To lillte power, to much weight, not so good rear syspension, super allsome body kit (ok so that only may only apply to mine) ?Hunter

Re: Stx?
Out of curiosity (cause I know this has been hashed out on other forums, too), but has anyone truly fully prepped an E30 for STX and essentially proven it's lack of competitiveness? If so, is there an estimation of just how uncompetitive it was, i.e. a full second on a 60 second course?
It may all be moot since the boost buggies can (1) cheat easily and (2) put down power at Heartland Park, though no one else can. :\

In a perfect world, E36 M3s would go to STX and all E30s(sans M3) put in STS.McCall

Re: Stx?
Actually. I think STU AWD cars should be limited to 225 tires and STX AWD cars to 205 tires. That should fix things.

Re: Stx?
Write to the SEB. On the last STAC call, this kind of stuff was on the agenda. (E36 M3 in STX, 225's for AWD in STX, 265's and 9" wheels for 2WD in STX) I'm no longer a STAC member, so I don't know what happened.
Brian
P.S. I know the SEB email logging system is massively broken (keep sending until you get a response), but in two years on the STAC, I don't remember seeing a single letter from anyone that frequents this forum.
