I expect some dealer markups and unecessary options pushing the 135i past $40k. IMO a CPO e46M3 looks like a better deal.

$33,180 for European Delivery if they use the standard percentage they use on all other ED cars.

The 1 series pricing was about exactly what I thought it would be. With the USD getting pounded so hard by the Euro, that's not as terrible as it could have been. When we get a nationwide change in some factors/situations/political positions in the next 12-18 months, we should hopefully see a positive change in the USD and prices for European made products could become more attractive or even lower. Hopefully.

Don't blame me for the "92 mpg" 1.7g 3-wheeled contraption - I just thought it was funny.

You have to take the bad with the good credit. Some people on the forums were speculating $38K before for the 135i. I would have crapped a brick if it was that much. Sports package is $1000, which would be required for any of us.

It IS a BMW. With the base 328i coupe starting at over $35k, why would $35k (or even the above mentioned $38k) for a nicely-equipped 135i suprise you?

When you compare it to what the E36 M3 cost me back in '99, it's not too bad (and has a lot more power). If I pay sticker with the options I want (including technology that didn't exist in '99...Bluetooth, HD radio, ipod adapters, Xenon lights (those are standard), very close to what I paid with a $4K friend of a friend discount for my M3.
