Boy, I dunno. I want it to be great too, but I have high hopes and low expectations. Plus this test drive was IN THE SNOW. How much can you really tell?

And, may partially explain why they have been able to get into those astute financial positions while most of us keep spending way too much money on cars...

Obfuscation usually requires a lot more words than if you simply focus on fundamental principles, so I’m not at all surprised by the loquaciousness of liberals.

oh I agree with you about how they got to the point they are but after you are there, I mean come on, live a little. Why have all that money if you are not going to enjoy it. I mean if they don't, their heirs will

Yeah, this is kind of goofy. How many cars do you think they have owned by the company? How many aren't registered for the street? Face it, Gates isn't into cars. He has a crazy house with heated sidewalks. This doesn't really mean their thrifty, just that the don't like cars. Paul Allen is the one that spent an arm and a leg to fund the first plane trip to space didn't he?

                      Also,

I remember read somewhere that Gates has an underground garage full of cars... This is at his home in the Seattle Washington area

Yeah I think these guys have plenty of fun, just not always with cars. Richard Branson (Virgin Records owner) owns his own ISLAND in the carribbean. Has like 3 incredibly huge houses on it with crazy things like bathtubs on balconies and open showers that overlook the beach...rents for $15k/DAY!!

When I first started in the controls business, we had to go to Chicago for training. One of my fellow rookies (from the Seattle branch) had done some grunt work at Gates' house while it was under construction. This guy told us that the house has a few "small" (~300-500 ton) chillers for A/C, and there are service tunnels within the walls that you can get lost in.
