Yeah, I just read that article and I'm pretty bummed about it, especially given what DCX has been able to do with the SRT branding. If done right, an SVT Focus could have been a nice Civic Si competitor or if they've bring the mega-AWD version here, an STi/Evo competitor. An SVT Fusion could have been a Ford version of the Mazdaspeed6 but maybe with a 270-300hp V6 instead of the TDI 4-banger. Sad...

From what I've read, though, SRT is not making a great deal of money for DCX (even though its building great buzz). In these times of stretched profits, it probably just doesn't make sense to dump a lot of money into a niche type of product. Unfortunately, the majority of the buying public are not enthusiasts, so going after them heavily doesn't make a lot of sense unless you've got the funds to burn . . .
