This will be important to you Aussies, Kiwis, and Brits!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Vorshlag-Private\/1703-Capital\/n-65wtJ\/i-2jtmMCt\/0\/5ea9cdf5\/M\/i-2jtmMCt-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can read the latest update to the R&#038;D thread for the RHD E36 swap starting <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vorshlag.com\/forums\/showthread.php?p=58620#post58620\">here<\/a><\/strong>. We started off by adding a number of items to the LS3 engine to make it fit the E36 chassis &#8211; and those parts have been added to our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vorshlag-store.com\/collections\/bmw-e36-lsx-swap\">E36 LS swap products page already<\/a><\/strong> (some of the items fit both LHD and RHD E36 swaps &#8211; but not all).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Vorshlag-Test-Pilots\/Jack-Griffens-RHD-BMW-E36-LSx-Swap\/i-wnQL3Zm\/0\/4a327c07\/M\/DSCN0554-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vorshlag-store.com\/collections\/bmw-e36-lsx-swap\/products\/vorshlag-e36-competition-steering-shaft-assembly\">E36 competition steering shaft<\/a><\/strong> was needed and fit, and the ABS relocation was also necessary. This was somewhat easier than the LHD cars &#8211; only 2 &#8220;jumper&#8221; hoses have to be made and no wiring rework. The unit moves up vertically to gain room for the full length exhaust headers.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Vorshlag-Test-Pilots\/Jack-Griffens-RHD-BMW-E36-LSx-Swap\/i-W7Dttk8\/0\/6b74697b\/M\/DSCN0565-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lots of time was spent locking down the driveline placement and the prototype motor mounts and transmission crossmember are built.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Vorshlag-Test-Pilots\/Jack-Griffens-RHD-BMW-E36-LSx-Swap\/i-NtpHLP8\/0\/cfec95bb\/M\/DSCN0568-M.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All of the work above was done first so we could tackle the hardest part &#8211; the long tube headers. These will be specific to the LHD swaps, of course.
