New Vorshlag Project Cars!
We're building two new BMW race cars for 2010, including an E46 330Ci (DSP/TTD classes) and an E30 with a V8 swap ($2010 GRM Challenge). Click the links at left to see the build threads. Lots of new products are coming from these projects, of course.

Vorshlag Alpha Car Sold
The infamous Vorshlag "Alpha car" E36 V8 race car sold in October for a great price on eBay. One lucky bidder got a killer track car at a great price. Don't worry - we're already at work on another Vorshlag E36 M3 LS1 swap and another batch of LS1 swap kits are coming in Q1-2010!

Vorshlag parts FTW!
Both the 2009 NASA and SCCA Nationals have come and gone and Vorshlag/AST racers took home lots of trophies and wins. Congrats to all of our customers that raced in these National Championship events!

Vorshlag Race Dates
The Vorshlag crew will be running the EVO X and the new 448 whp BMW LS2 at the SCCA Southwest Divisional autocross event July 11-12 at Texas Motor Speedway, as well as at a Regional event the following Sunday July 19th. Look for us supporting customers and racing at both the NASA Nationals and SCCA Nationals in September, too!

AST 5000 Series Shocks
AST inverted 5000 series struts have 45mm and 50mm diameter upper shafts have less flex under cornering & braking loads, for more stable geometry. A modular design allows for upgradability from single -> double -> triple adjustables. Check them out here.


2009 Season Underway!
We had our first test-and-tune autocross event in February and it was a huge success. With help from Ronnie of AST Holland we were able to tune new AST setups on 8 different cars at a practice event, including revalving and new spring rates on a number of cars the night before a competition event the next day. AST equipped cars won many classes, including a win in our EVO X MR development mule on its first outing. We also wrapped up our second iteration of shocks for a C5/C6 Corvette, with AST 5200 shocks going on a '99 FRC the same week. Look for more 5000 series shocks on more cars throughout this season.

PRI 2009
The December Performance Racing Industry show was a huge success for AST USA. The Vorshlag crew was joined by AST Holland and AST UK (Powerstation) in our booth at the '08 show. We met with dozens of potential new AST dealers and had a great show. 2 months later we're still calling everyone back that wanted more information!
